Testing Requirements

Over the past many years, Central TKD has supported local schools and organizations by sponsoring free Demonstrations and Self-Defense Classes.  In order to promote this tradition outside our walls, we created an additional Testing requirement.  

Below is an outline of community service for each age group and appropriate rank.  The idea is to encourage students to volunteer a small amount of their time by “giving back” to their families and/or the community.

TESTING for:

High White Belt to Low Green Belts  -  5 hours

Examples:

·        Chores (not ones already established for an allowance)

·        Fund Raisers sponsored by

o       School

o       Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts

o       Church

o       Community

o       Central TKD

 

TESTING for:

High Green to Low Red  -  10 hours

Examples:

·        Chores (not ones already established for an allowance)

·        Fund Raisers sponsored by

o       School

o       Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts

o       Church

o       Community

o       Central TKD

·        Helping with Group Demos

 

TESTING for: 

High Red to Black Belts – 15 hours

Examples:

·        Chores (not ones already established for an allowance)

·        Fund Raisers sponsored by

o       School

o       Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts

o       Church

o       Community

o       Central TKD

·        Helping with *TinyTot Class or Group Demos

 

These requirements will be similar to the attendance requirements (the clock resets each Testing).  A form must be completed with signatures and turned in prior to completing a Testing Application.  Mrs. Ahmed has these forms or you can download the following PDF to record your times.
